Stulic Darko
Born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1974, Darko demonstrated an interest in film during high school studies. In 1993 he enrolled in a cinematography course at Radio Television Serbia in Belgrade-RTS. During his work at RTS (1993-1998), Darko became part of an indispensable team, participated on a variety of television programs and genres. Working in television evoked an interest in Black and White Photography and Cinema Studies.
In 1998 he relocated to Prague, Czech Republic to study at FAMU. In 2004, Darko was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in cinematography. In years 2006/2007, during his Master studies at FAMU, Darko was attending a Master‘s course in Media Art Philosophy and Practise at University of Greenwich in London.
Upon gradutation. Darko began working on a vast and varied number of projects, which included sudent shorts, television, features, documentary and commercial projects as well as still photography work. Darko has had the honour of working on several projects, which have found their way to many international filmfestivals including: Karlovy Vary IFF, Clermont-Ferrand FilmFestival, Venice Film Festival, Aqua Fosilot Medica, Jihlava Fest and the Belgrade Documentary Film Festival.
At present is Darko working hard on his dissertation entitled: „Colour in Motion Pictures: Colour Fetogenia“, supervised by professor Jaroslav Brabec, under the auspices of the FAMU cinematography department.
Darko is currently living and working in Prague.
