The Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) is a leading Australian visual and performing arts training institution. As of January 1 2007, the VCA became known as the Faculty of the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne. VCA is also in consultation with the University of Melbourne over implementing the controversial Melbourne Model at the VCA in 2009.
It is located in Melbourne, Australia, on St Kilda Road just outside the Melbourne central business district, and offers courses and training in six academic disciplines: fine art, dance, drama, film and television, music and production, and two centres — The Centre for Ideas and The Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development.
